Yeah, this is properly the show which caught
the media’s attention because of a young model and her shoes on the catwalk. I
feel for the girl and was happy to see that someone from front row, helped her
out and of the runway. When that said, I don’t feel we should dwell more upon
that, as I was there to see the collection!
As you know I have a thing for David Andersen
and his pieces. And on this actual day I actually bought the magnificent
sequined swallow tailed jacket to wear to the show the same evening at the
show. And I was happy to see that he in the SS13 collection continues this
style, though with a twist!
Most of the collection was again in black with
a dash of white and grey, grey sequins and a pattern. And the classical shapes,
draping’s, zipper details and deconstructed look was present again. I guess
this is the reason why we love David Andersen’s clothing, its simple in colours
and fabrics, but the look is not simple at all.
I especially fell in love with the sequin
pieces again, especially the Siggy jacket and shorts. The Liva dress with sewn
together sleeves also caught my attention, especially after looking closely at
the dress at the Gallery Fashion Fair. I also believe it was the Tini jacket
worn by a male model that I liked a lot because of the open zippers at the
elbows and the front draping detail with the collar.
It was a lovely show and with lots of cool
styles for next summer and hey…everyone looks great in black!
A cool cap for a cool fashion guest
