You're the canvas

I can see a lot of the search results who lead you to this site is about becoming a plus size model, so why shouldn't I give my personal guide to becoming a plus size model! I will divide this guide into different sections, for your convenience. I will try to describe what I did and what I would recommend. It's my personal opinion and recommendation, therefore pick whatever you like and leave the rest, I am not the modelling genius but maybe I could help you a bit anyway;)

The canvas, body and health
You are the naked canvas which should inspire people to using you as model for their designs. Therefore you need to be at your best in both look and mental health. You should shine confidence, attitude and your greatest look. You should take care of yourself, make sure to have clean healthy looking skin, nice long nails and healthy looking hair. You should also think of your body, it's always important to work out! Though curves are OK for plus size models, but for health reasons you should work out and maybe be the toned healthy and harmonic looking plus size model.
For plus size models they often have the same height limit as for "normal" models, therefore you should properly be at least 170 cm and for most agencies at least 174 cm depending on the agency and which kind of model you will become, catwalk models are often tall and those for more commercial use can be less tall, like me.
My latest shoot, with Martin and Karen

Next time I will be writing about your modelling portfolio!
