Maison Martin Margiela

Yesterday I went for a special pre-sale of the Maison Martin Margiela collection for H&M, as Marie Louise from Fashion Throw up had entered a competition at Costume, where the first signed up could come to the pre-sale and bring a friend. She chose me, as she knew I am a bit of a fan of Martin Margiela and that I really wanted some of the products.
Luckily we could meet early and be in the front of the queue, but others had the same idea, but we ended up ass the third and fourth in the queue. The meaning was that everyone should start with a glass of champagne, look in the Costume magazine and eat some cake, but we could see that most only came for the clothes, so we all ended up queuing to be the first to run for the products. So we stood there for about 30 minutes and waited! When the time came, people of course ran and pushed to get through, which I really hate, actually I hate these kinds of sale, but again I really wanted some of the products especially the Candy clutch which is really popular also for this collection for H&M.
So my first plan was to go for the clutch, which was the right plan as one girl took almost all just to be sure to get one (as you were only allowed to buy one item of each). Then I went for the pants, red asymmetric dress, black asymmetric button dress, watch bracelet and at last the white tank dress with print. So I got all the things I was looking for and some extra. The necklace I also had my eye seemed to be in a low quality, very light weighted, so I didn’t go for that.
The pants which I thought looked really cool and fancy didn’t really fit me, they were too oversized and the legs too long. They wouldn’t do anything good for my figure. The black asymmetric button dress was cool but a little strange (and really strange to get on with the different sleeves, the collar and different holes) and I don’t think the extra sleeves would do anything for me, so I didn’t choose that.
The red dress was quite fun and the fit was really good, the only the weird thing was the draping on the shoulder which turned the dress inside out but it had a cool effect.
The white printed tank dress I saw while waiting and it looked pretty cool on the hanger, therefore I had to try it out even though I hate maxidresses as I often look fat because of my belly fat ;) But this actually fit me very well and it looked cool on me and the print was also kinda cool.
The clutch was of course a big GO and the bracelet watch the same as it cool also be used as a necklace.
So for about 30 minutes I had spent 2.746 DKK phew…..that’s a load of money especially the month before Christmas, luckily I have 3 jobs to supply me with some money for the expenses.

Notice below how the products were presented, the cool white bag, the garment bags, the tags on the products, the hanger and the jewellery box, I love it! It all matches and matches with the invite and the H&M sales assistants clothing as well.

I love my new products and I am so happy I finally can be united with my candy clutch, it’s definitely a go for New Year’s Eve, maybe together with the white printed tank dress! And maybe the red dress for Christmas!
