e.l.f. yourself!

I normally don't wear make up, only when I go out for dinners and parties, therefore I was really excited when I was picked out for testing some e.l.f. products. I love make up and love to do something crazy and cool, when I get to do it, but in my everyday life I keep a distance. Primarily because I don't take the time in morning to do it and then I like to keep my skin healthy by not using too much make up or skin  care products. But I am though a sucker for beauty products!

And the batch I got was fab, it contained three different foundations, one creamy and two of powder. I have only tried two of them, but I found them really easy to work with and I didn't get that sticky feeling in my face by using them. And it did over the small flaws very well.

The batch also contained a purple eyeliner, Plum Purple and eyeshadow, Passionate Purple and a mineral lipgloss, Au Naturele. The purple colours match very well and I will try them out together soon. It's a lovely shade which really suits my dark skin colour well. The lipgloss is  great for the simple daily look or for when you like to focus on other areas of your face and have simple lips without much colour.

I also received an eyebrow kit, which seemed good, but I found it difficult to use, as you shouldn't use to much otherwise you have too much focus on the brows and they will seem a bit heavy. I need to try it out again to see whether I can handle it myself or I should use it for photoshoots instead, where heavy eyebrows doesn't matter.

At last the batch contained the coolest kit ever, the Beauty-on-the-go palettes, which are two different palettes you can change between in your container which of course has a mirror inside. Perfect kit for a night out with the girls or for your handbag when going out after work for an afterhours cocktail! I really love the colours, one is browner shades and the other more greyish and black for the eyes, but both with shimmer. The lipsticks and blushes are very different and I prefer the darker versions for my skin, as I find the light pinks a bit too girly and bimbo like. Maybe they will suit a lighter skin colour better.

For this make up I used the Flawless Finish foundation SPF15 as well as the powder Mineral foundation SPF15. For the eyes I went for something subtle, the Cream Eyeliner in plum purple, as I wanted to -focus on cheeks and lips. For my lips I went for the red colour lipstick in the Beauty-on-the-go (day to night) palette. My cheekbones got some of the blush from the dark and more night feel from Beauty-on-the-go palette. My eyebrows got a little extra with the eyebrow kit with dark brown colours.

I didn't receive a mascara, so I went for my back up, as I really like to voluminize my eyelashes by using some mascara.

I will tomorrow try to make a more festive look with more focus on my eyes, properly by using the purple colours (eyeshadow and -liner) and some of the the shadows from the dark Beauty-on-the-go palette, as I am going out with one of my girlfriends. So stay tunes for another review.
