Still With You

Yesterday I went by the Danish based Norwegian jewellery designer, Renathe aka Still With You. I saw her jewellery for the first time at Finders Keepers and found them very inspirational, though I could not decide which one to buy. So when Renathe asked me to come buy and see her different jewellery and see the different stones, I said yes.

I always like to see the place where artist work, I love the creative atmosphere, the creative mess and seeing all the different things they use as materials, fabrics, tools etcetera. Though Renathe had cleaned up the workplace for my visit ;) but it still had the nice atmosphere.
Renathe moved to Denmark to years ago and started her business up in her apartment though having all these things around her, and the business started to take shape, she moved into a workspace where she could have all her creative things and work in peace, away from the home. Renathe loves stones and minerals and is always looking forward to receive the new shipments to look at them through thoroughly.  She gets inspired by each of them and would love to have the time and I guess hands to make all her creative ideas come true right away.
I like the way she uses the rawness of some the stones, she shows us that there is beauty within the raw stones, not all has to be polished. This makes me think of the political message of how we perceive each other, let's celebrate the rawness of us all and not be polished or superficial!

 

I still had a hard time choosing from the different styles and stones, but ended up with the necklace here in the middle. A raw quartz dipped in silver, I like the raw stone, the silver dipping which still featured the rawness of the stone underneath and then it will fit all kinds of outfits.
