A great loss for Danish fashion!

Friday the Danish designer, Pia de Arce 34 years old died of cancer after having struggled for quite some time. Pia de Arce was one of the designers in the duo Vilsbøl de Arce, a upcoming fashion brand with lots of potential both national and internationally. Their designs were loved by the creatives and used for several editorials and events, their designs were even used by well known artists worldwide!

I have followed them for several years, even before they started doing actual collections, I have always had a thing for their design, they had something different to offer. Their use and mix of fabrics inspired me and the shapes were amazing and feminine.

It's a great loss for Danish design and fashion, one may hope that Prisca Vilsbøl continues, though everyone would understand the reason not to.

I did not know Pia de Arce, though it saddens me to hear that such a talented person has been taken away. My condolences to all friends and family of Pia de Arce, may you find peace in this troubled time.

My Vilsbøl de Arce products:

 My first VDA product; Alien jerseypants, a kind of a jumpsuit in jersey (mine is purple). The tube top is not a part of the suit, it's only the pants and the long shoulder draped vest thingy's that's a part of the jumpsuit.

 AW11, the cool black jumpsuit,which I fell in love with and have actually used for a shoot myself.

 SS11, the beautiful orange top which can be styles in different ways. It can really complete a look!

 SS11, my all time favourite jumpsuit in the coolest colour ever, I can't wait to wear it again when the suns breaks out in Denmark. It's drop dead sexy, elegant and cool at the same time.
