The queen of knitwear.
This is what I think of Stine Ladefoged, she is amazing in what she does, and it's knitwear. I have never seen anyone else being so creative around knitwear, making knitwear more than just warm and practical clothing. She makes it into art pieces for the body, feminine, sculptural and wearable for fancy occasions as well as everyday.
This collection MaschinenMensch, was no exception. A beautiful collection in black, white and a pastel lime green, as well as golden or glitter detailing and mesh fabric. It featured a lot of cut outs or see through holes in the items, so you would have a view for the long legs, abs or etc. This collection seemed to have more focus on the sculptural than braiding which we have seen in the previous collections. That made the collection a little more masculine and more geometric in its shapes. Maybe that is the reference to the ma(s)chine mensch (people). Its interesting with this inspiration as we saw some of the same at Anne Sofie Madsen, with her Post-Human Speed collection.
