I love going to fairs and get inspired, especially DesignTrade, where you have the opportunity to hear talks and speeches from cool and interesting designers, architects, bloggers, ad people and other creatives. They share best practices, knowledge or trends for us to be inspired and then yo have the whole fair, where different design companies and agencies represent all kinds of designs and designers. It would be so dangerous if you could buy it all privately!. Well, below you have some of my finds and favourites from this early and first fair of the season.
Inspiration outside the fair.
I have always loved the use of pallets in the home or for the garden. Here I like the colour variations and the grass on top. You can use pallets in so many ways that it is only your imagination that set the rules. I am thinking of making a sofa for the garden or even a bench for the home with wheels, then you can use it for even more.
A display of the giant Fatboy bunnies, I am totally in love!
Cool prints and postcards from Bob Noon. I think we have quite a lot of really talented graphic designers and illustrators etc. in Denmark. And Bob Noon is represented some of them in their shop and studio. Here will be able to find something for everyone, the crazy at heart, the romantic, the Goth, the academic etc.
Delicious tapas at the fair. Horseradish creme with salmon and wakeme seaweed. Beetroot's with barley and pulled pork with salad and red cabbage. Really nice food!
Studio Snowpuppe makes these beautiful paper lamps in many different colours and a dip dye look. I love the origami look and the neon colour, it would look great in the living room or in a white classic office. Or maybe even in a kids room.
How about these amazing Notknot pillows from Icelandic Umemi, you can get them in different designs and colours but all in knitwear. I have a thing with knitwear and therefore these really caught my attention, I would love some of these on my couch. Especially a grey, Turquoise and pink one in the styles of a Good Luck (the grey one in above image, on the top), Turks head and round brocade (above, the lowest in pink).
Amazing design from Swedish designer EwaDe, all designs are unique and most handmade or decorated. I loved the detailing and classical look mixed with modern graphic design. I fell in love with this dresser and chair and would love to own them for my fantasy dream of a walk-in closet! The dresser for small clothing like undies, bras and socks and the chair for the make up and styling table. Could it be more lady like!?
Seal stamps from Swedish Skandinaviska Lackfabriken! Why don't we use seals any more, I would love to have one of my own, with my own logo for mailing out invitations. I would definitely mail more letters even though it's getting ridiculously expensive in Denmark to do that. I just need to think of a personal unique design!
Have you seen this poster before? I just love the image of the old broken flowers, raw material and the colours. A really perfect image that sets the mood. I love it!
A beautiful dip dye salmon pink candle from Broste CPH. I totally love the colour and the fact it's dip dye, they also had one white candle with a salmon pink tree, those two candles would be perfect for the spring time!
