Yes, fashion has always been like this, dreams and illusions. But has it gone to far? Are there no room for diverse sizes, shapes, colours, ages and sexes? And what do we actually want as consumers? And do we see the same thing? Or are some of our eyes deceived by what we want to see or wishes to see? And do we want reality in fashion or maybe just a realistic illusion? And why is it we look at other women, compare ourselves with each other?
The problem when looking at other women, is that even though we wear the same size clothing, our bodies can be so different both in measurements and height, as well as the softness, plumpness, hardness etc. of our bodies.
I am a size 42, like these models, though honestly I have a lot more body fat than them, I am soft and plump. Actually I have a dangerous amount of fat, which is not good for my health, which is the reason or one of the reasons why I want to lose weight. So when I look at these models, they are ideals of a beautiful and healthy size 42, these girls don't have that bad amount of body fat when looking at them. Some of them should properly be careful, but in this moment they are healthy. They also remind me, that it's OK to be a size 42, that I too can look sexy, beautiful and like a femme fatale. Though I am not as tall as these ladies, so back to the weight loss again for me ;)
These are also almost all the same dress size but if you you look closer on their measurements, you will see a great difference in some. Some have a smaller waist or bigger hips. And of course most of them are pretty retouched, so it can be difficult for the common woman to identify themselves with these models. But I think it's a great idea to find some models to be an inspiration, an realistic ideal for you to obtain. Something that makes you want to eat healthier and exercise more. These women are my goals in the moment, getting my fat percentage down and looking healthy, then afterwards I will take a look at the more sporty toned models like Gisele....haha in my dreams ;)
